Be it report writing, checking accounts, or making presentation for the client, you need a high level of concentration for all the important tasks at work. Lack of focus can lead to several errors, imply careless behaviour and also have a negative impression on superiors. Hectic schedules and long working hours can make you tired mentally, which can impact concentration. Aromatherapy Massage is known to stimulate the parts of brain that improve alertness and thus help you focus on the tasks.

Some people worry too much about everyday issues and hence show symptoms such as chest pain, racing heart, headaches, excessive sweating, etc. 4 reasons why you should take anxiety really seriously. Scientists suggest that people who suffer from excessive anxiety have an abnormal connection between brain regions that control our emotion, and the ones that keep us calm. Aromatherapy Massage with essential oils such as Lavender, Geranium Marjoram leads to release hormones that have a calming effect on the mind. The essential oils stimulate the release of brain chemicals such as serotonin and dopamine, which regulate mood and reduce anxiety.
3. Aromatherapy Massage Enhances Memory and Alertness
Too much work stress and mental tension can often lead to mind block. You may find it difficult to recollect some important dates, misplace your keys or even miss to wish your loved ones on their special days. Studies report that chronic stress reduces spatial memory: the memory that helps you recall locations and relate objects. Aromatherapy Massage can relax your mind and enhance memory. Fragrance of aromatic herbs such as Rosemary is known to improve alertness and memory by 75 percent. This is especially true regarding the future memory that helps you to remember to do things. For e.g sending an important mail to your client the next day. Remembering to do important things on time can surely help you improve your work productivity.
4. Aromatherapy Massage Reduces Risk of Common Infections
Some common and acute infections such as cold and cough have the potential to affect work productivity because of their high prevalence in working-age groups. Studies report that high frequency of colds, severe flu symptoms, difficulty sleeping, etc. overall show a great impact on productivity, absenteeism, and daily life of working professionals. Many essential aromatic oils show antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Essential oils such as Eucalyptus, Thyme, Bergamot, Chamomile, Geranium and Lavender are known to boost immune power of the body. Taking regular Aromatherapy Massage with these essential oils can thus help to reduce the commonly occurring infections and save days lost due to ill health.
5. Aromatherapy Massage Reduces Pain
Pain is most common contributor to low work productivity. It can reduce work efficiency in any sector including corporates where people have a sitting job or other on-site job that demand heavy physical work. In India nearly 80 percent people working in corporates report having chronic back pain, shoulder pain or wrist pain. Commonly encountered reasons for pain include wrong sitting postures, carrying heavy bags or sitting too much. Aromatherapy Massage can be performed using aromatic oils that show pain relieving actions and thus show dual benefits of relieving physical as well as mental stress and pain.

Many participants even confessed that they reach for phone and open some apps without even realising it. The experts have come up with new terminology “Compulsive phone checker” for those who get addicted to and obsessed with their phone.
Rapid advancement in technology has surely made our lives easier. However, it is actually a double edged phenomenon. Use of electronic equipment can save a lot of time, energy and cut down on need for labour. On the other hand research suggests that too much availability of technology and gadgets can actually increase our stress levels by forcing us to stay connected and work beyond work times. With the availability of suitable devices and internet you are always at work and so under mental tension.
Research suggests that techno stress is associated with high levels of anxiety and fatigue. Many people find it very difficult to keep their work and leisure time distinctly separate and so end up working for long hours. But, technology cannot make us stressed if we know how to handle it carefully and luckily there are several ways you can reduce your techno stress. Here are few tips that may benefit you.
1. Don’t Connect Office Mails to Your Personal Phone
If your work does not need round the clock responses, why bother yourself with messages that can be answered the next day? It is best to keep your work at office and not bring it home. If you think you need to answer some message immediately, use the email filters so that you receive only relatively urgent and important emails.
2. Work Efficiently and Sincerely During Office Hours
Rehashing some words by Dr. Kalam “A person who stays late at office is not a hard working person. Instead he is someone who does not know how to manage work within stipulated time”. Many times we tend to visit social media sites to get rid of work stress. Distracting yourself for some time is fine, but many people spend a lot of their work time checking personal messages and surfing social media. This can surely distract you from work and reduce your concentration. Remind yourself to work efficiently and sincerely during work times so that you can have your personal time just for yourself.
3. Avoid Using Phones For Personal Use At Work Places
According to a survey conducted by researchers at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, too much use of phone for personal reasons during work times is disrespectful and annoying. It signifies lack of attention, interest and efficiency at work.
4. Go On Vacation Without Internet
Can you imagine this? No messages, chats, emails or uploading pictures for a day? Take a break and keep all the gadgets at home if you are out spending some quality moments with your family or friends.
5. Follow The Rule Of 20:20:20
Using phones or staring at computer screen for long time can cause eye strain, headache or watering of eyes, a condition known as digital eye strain. To prevent digital eye strain, follow the rule of 20:20:20. After every 20 minutes, look away from the screen at an object 20 feet away for about 20 seconds and then close your eyes for 2 minutes.
It is not possible to avoid stress in daily life. Each day you have to face some tension and stressful moment while travelling, at home or at work. But, make sure you manage your stress if not eliminate it totally. Shopping, watching movies, partying can make you social and happy for a while, but these are just temporary ways and the effects may not last long. Instead look for some healthy means such as Aromatherapy massage at a reputed and professional spa to reduce your mental tension.
Did you know you actually have to be become anti-social to be social in media? People who are always glued to phone find pleasure in becoming “someone else” on the social media and lose the interest and confidence to interact in person. To avoid this restrict yourself from using phone and being online when you are sitting among people. Encourage yourself to start a real conversation with people.

High Stress Jobs Can Actually End With Brain Stroke, Suggests New ResearchFFDSOctober 23, 2015April 12, 2017
Have you ever played this new game on Internet called “Guess how will you die?” and laughed over the funny answers? But, scientists have taken it really seriously and revealed how you will die if you have a job that is causing you too much mental tension. A new study conducted by researchers from the Department of Cardiology at the Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, China has recently reported that people who suffer from too much work-stress and mental tension are most likely to suffer from brain stroke.
Researchers looked at the data of 6 previous studies that analysed the relationship between high job stress and health risks and revealed that people who had high stress jobs showed stroke risk 22% higher than those with low stress positions. For this study researcher grouped 14,000 employees based on the stress levels in their job. The researchers specifically noted that women showed much higher (33%) risk of suffering stroke due to high job stress. High job stress was defined as time pressure, mental demands and coordination burdens. Physical labour and total number of hours worked were not included.
Stroke occurs when the blood supply to the brain is obstructed. During a stroke, the brain does not receive enough oxygen or nutrients, causing brain cells to die. Ischemic stroke occurs when the blood vessels that supply blood to the brain get blocked. Work-stress has been reported to increase the risk of ischemic stroke. In the study the researchers found that people with high work-stress were 58% more likely to have an ischemic stroke.
Scientists are not sure about the biological mechanism for this association; however some experts blame high levels of cortisol in the blood. High work-stress causes increase in production of stress hormones in the body that stay elevated for long periods of time. Cortisol is known to cause inflammation in the body which has been positively linked to heart diseases. Other reasons could be unhealthy stress management habits such as smoking, alcohol consumption or even consumption of calories rich fatty food. Why do people reach for sugary foods when under stress?
Experts therefore suggest having more stress management policies at work, these may include giving flexible work hours, letting people take decisions in their tasks, reducing pressure from supervisor, etc.

Natural Anti Ageing Therapies: Why Should You prefer them?FFDSSeptember 30, 2015April 12, 2017
We all would love to stay young forever and getting old is one of our major concerns. This area naturally is of great interest to the cosmetic industry that claims to reverse the signs of ageing through various age reversal treatments. However, ageing is a natural phenomenon and an intrinsic feature of life. There is a variety of anti-aging therapies available in the market. We often place our confidence in the claims made by the manufacturer. Many people even get ready to go under the knife to reverse the damage caused due do ageing. However, it is important to understand that not all therapies that claim to reverse the signs of ageing are safe.
In this article we have highlighted how popular age reversal treatments work and some of the risks associated with them. This will help you to take a conscious decision before opting for any of the anti-aging therapies.
1. Anti-Ageing Hormones Are Not Proven To Be Effective Yet
Hormones are the chemicals secreted in our body and are involved in various physiological functions such as metabolism, immune function, sexual reproduction, and growth. Some hormones especially the human grow hormones, progesterone in men, and oestrogen in women decrease as we age.
Although several age reversal therapies claim that hormonal therapy, can reverse the signs of ageing, to date no research has confirmed this. Our body maintains the right balance of hormone naturally. However, when you decide to take extra hormones just to look younger, you surely create an artificial imbalance that body cannot cope with. Your body may actually react to it causing some undesired effects.
2. Laser Resurfacing Therapy Can Cause Serious Side Effects
Use of laser therapy is one of the most popularly used treatments to get rid of signs of ageing such as wrinkles and pigmentation. Laser resurfacing treatment has been shown to be effective in reducing the signs of ageing through processes such as dermal layer remodeling, collagen stimulation, regeneration of cellular materials, etc . However, along with its benefits laser treatment may also cause some serious side effects, such as persistent erythema, hypo- or hyperpigmentation, infection or scarring.
3. Botulin is a Costly Affair
Botulinum toxin (BTX) can neither improve the texture of skin nor can it prevent the skin ageing process. However, regular BTX injections can slow down the visible signs of skin ageing such as facial lines and fine wrinkles. However, administration of Botulin is very critical. It needs thorough understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the muscles and possible alterations in skin that may occur. So, obviously it has to be done through extremely skilled and professional hands and that’s makes it a costly affair.
4. Skin Rejuvenation – Chemical Peeling Needs a Long Recovery Time
Chemical peeling is becoming increasingly popular for the treatment of skin rejuvenation where it can improve damaged skin and fine wrinkles. Chemical peeling removes the top layers of skin so that the new skin that grows back is younger-looking. However chemical peeling is a type of chemosurgery and so there are risks associated with this procedure as with other surgical procedures. Chemical peel may result in scarring and infections. Deep chemical peels that are used to correct severe damage or heavy wrinkles require a longer recovery period within which it is extremely dangerous to get sun exposure.
Before trying any of these therapies first make sure to have a healthy lifestyle, be physically active, eat right food and manage your stress. You may opt for some natural therapies that reverse the signs of skin ageing and these include facials, body wraps and polishes. For better results look for therapies that use highest quality natural ingredients with anti-ageing properties. If you are looking for a best spa in Mumbai that offers age reversal treatment with natural ingredients, you can try Age Reversal Programme offered at Four Fountains De-stress spa in Mumbai.
Not Sleeping Well Can Cause Frequent Colds, Reveals New ResearchFFDSSeptember 18, 2015April 12, 2017
How often do you miss important events because you have stuffy nose and all you want to do is roll up in bed and get some good sleep. But had you been sleeping well each night, you would not suffer from colds at all. Does that sound very confusing or something that you cannot co-relate? But that is exactly what the latest study conducted by the scientists from US reports. According to this new study people who sleep less than 5 hours at are 4.5 times more likely to suffer from cold and infections than those who sleep well for about 7 hours.
For the study the scientists involved 164 healthy people and tracked their sleep schedule for about one week. All the participants were asked to record the times at which they went to bed and woke up. The participants were also asked to put a special digital wrist device that could sense the movement during sleep. Movement beyond a certain point was automatically recorded as wakefulness and considered as disturbed sleep.
After a week the same participants were given nose drops containing rhinovirus to induce infection. All the participants then lived in the same environment so that their immune system could work and can be analysed later.
On examining the participants the scientists found that chances of catching cold were highest among people who slept less than 5 hours and lowest among people who slept for more than 7 hours.
This study clearly indicates that people who sleep well are likely to have a better immunity than those who sleep less. Many people tend to sacrifice their sleep in order to manage their hectic work life. However, sleep deprivation clearly has its own health risks. If you have been having health issues due to lack of sleep and are in search of healthy ways to sleep better, you should try Aromatherapy Massage. 5 Biological Factors that Affect Your Skin GlowFFDSSeptember 11, 2015April 20, 2017
A soft, glowing skin is a symbol of good systemic health. Skin is the largest organ in the body that plays a vital role of protecting the internal organs from external environment. People who have a shiny, healthy and glowing skin tend to have a good impression on others. Conversely, people who have dull or darker looking skin have low self-esteem and constantly have to struggle to find some new tips for glowing skin. Stressful lifestyle makes many people have skin issues such as, hyperpigmentation, brown spots, or dark dull looking skin. However, part from stress and other external factors such as pollution or sun exposure, some physiological changes that occur inside the body are also responsible for making the skin look dull and lifeless. Here are 5 Biological factors that affect your skin glow.
1. Vitamin Deficiency
Vitamins B complex and C, play a vital role in maintaining healthy skin. Vitamin C is responsible for production of protein called collagen, which gives skin its elasticity. People who have deficiency of vitamin C tend to have dry, dull and sagging skin. Deficiency of vitamin B-9 (folic acid) and B-12 (cobalamin) can cause pigmentation problems leading to patchy skin. Deficiencies of vitamins that occurs due to reduced intake of vegetables and fresh fruits can therefore make you skin appear dull and dark.
2. Hormonal Changes
Hormonal changes mainly affect women, in phases such as pregnancy or menopause. Fluctuating levels of female hormones progesterone and Oestrogen stimulate melanocytes to produce more melanin, a pigment that imparts colour to the skin. Accumulation of melanin at specific areas on skin lead to a skin condition called melisma, which is characterised by dark patches or uneven colour distribution on skin.
3. Excessive Iron deposition
Iron supplements can cause skin darkening to a certain extent. Although iron is necessary for many important physiological functions, too much iron accumulation can affect organs such as liver and skin. Excess iron in the body is responsible for causing for hypermelanosis (excess production of skin pigment melanin).
4. Excess Melanin Production
When the body produces excess melanin it leads to hyperpigmentation. This can happen due to some illnesses or factors such as sun exposure. Prolonged sun exposure can cause spots with excess pigment deposition known as lentigines. The solar lentigines mostly are observed on areas that are frequently exposed to the sun, such as the hands and face. Certain skin disorder or injuries can also cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and make the skin appear darker.
5. Acne or Pimple Marks
Acne is one of the most distressing skin conditions. It is even more upsetting to see the stubborn dark marks each acne or pimple leaves behind. The acne marks are actually a type of post-inflammation pigmentation. The dark spots worsen when you try to break or squeeze the acne.
If you are having dull and dry skin and wondering for acne treatment, you can try skin whitening treatment, offered at Four Fountains De-Stress Spa. The skin whitening programme offered at the spa includes different types of facials, body wraps and body polishes that make use of high quality natural ingredients to make your skin glow.
